A magnificent oil lamp made from clear glass bottle
covered with maillechort. The glass bottle is filled with oil or
liquid paraffin. The liquid paraffin can be perfumed, to provide
a pleasing smell when the lamp is lit. The neck that holds the
wick is removable.A wick is placed over the neck and extends
into the glass bottle.
